Sealife Mosaic
We are proud to announce that we have saved a fine piece of artwork in the form of a mosaic .This was saved with help of Redcar and Cleveland Council. Rosecroft school was being demolished and this piece of artwork would have been lost. Myself and fellow councillor Tommy Evans decided to to try to bring the mosaic to Skinningrove as most of the materials came from Skinningrove beach. We are now in the last stages of having it installed. This mosaic is showing the life in the sea. We have placed this in our Doorstep Green park at the top end our village. The artist has been informed at all stages of this project and is coming up to the unveiling. I would like to say this could not have happened without the help of Councillor Mary Lanigan and a team of hard working officials and workforce. This adds to our other pieces of artwork we already have in the village.
